Business Rates

Good news for a lot of pubs! - You may have heard that in the Autumn 2018 Budget the Chancellor introduced a one-third Business Rates discount for two years, commencing April 2019 for pubs in England with a Rateable Value of less than £51,000 – that is potentially a big cash saving for your business.

Also, if your RV in England is up to £12,000 and up to £9,000 in Wales, and you only run one pub, you are recognised as a 'small business' and you shouldn't be paying any Business Rates at all!

Please be sure to double-check your Business Rates bill in April to ensure you don’t miss out. If unsure, contact your Billing Authority to check to see if you have received any relief. You will find the contact details on your last business rates bill or online.
